Ready for a new floor: the right preparation

A new floor starts with good preparation. This is the trajectory from old to new.

Ready for a new floor: the right preparation

Installing a new floor does not start with laying, but with preparation. The better the subfloor, the more beautiful and durable the end result. RUN UP Multiservices takes you through the process from old to new.

Step 1: Remove the old floor

First, everything that is there must be removed: parquet, tiles, vinyl or paving, including adhesive residue and old leveling compound. A clean surface is essential for good adhesion of the new layer.

Step 2: level the subfloor

We then make the subfloor flat and level with leveling compound. This prevents hollow spots, cracks and loose parts later. For almost every new floor, whether it is a cast floor, tiles or parquet, a flat subfloor is the prerequisite.

  • Removing the old floor and adhesive residue
  • Cleaning and removing dust from the surface
  • Applying leveling compound and curing
  • Check for flatness before installing the new floor

Step 3: respect drying time

Egaline needs time to harden completely. If you start with the new floor too quickly, you risk moisture problems. We advise you on the correct drying time, so that you can be sure that the base is ready.

"The preparation determines the end result. We take no risks."
